Electrifying EU city logistics
Given the increase in parcel deliveries during the pandemic, electrifying urban logistics takes on heightened importance and urgency. The good news is that electrification is possible now. RAP and the International Council on Clean Transportation analysed the energy and charging requirements of electric fleets and identified best practices for reducing costs — particularly through smart truck charging. The authors provide recommendations for European regulators, depot operators and charging infrastructure stakeholders. For a brief summary, join today’s webinar!

Minimum energy performance standards for European buildings
The European Commission recently announced its Renovation Wave Strategy, which calls for mandatory minimum energy performance standards for existing buildings. On the planned trajectory to net zero by 2050, buildings will play a pivotal role. Europe needs to at least triple the current rate and depth of renovations to hold this course, and minimum energy performance standards are a powerful option. This policy tool can lower carbon emissions, increase efficiency and improve citizens’ health and well-being.
