(Up to $100,000) for
Workforce Development Training


Hello Tricia,

Long Island companies are invited to apply for funding for existing employee training under the New York State Workforce Development Initiative. Governor Cuomo has launched Round 9 of the Regional Economic Development Council competition for funding. As a part of this Initiative, New York State has announced an opportunity for companies to apply for up to $100,000 to train your workforce. 

Stony Brook University Center for Corporate Education (CCE) has assisted many companies in submitting successful applications. 

CCE Staff are available to help you plan your training initiatives and navigate the application process. Successful companies have trained their employees in:

  • Supervisory Skills/Managerial Effectiveness
  • Emerging Leadership
  • Team Building
  • Project Management
  • Quality Management Systems/ISO
  • Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma
  • Customer Service
  • Communications/Business Writing/Presentations
