Finalists Announced

The wait is over and we are excited to share with you the thirty finalist photos of the 2019 Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize.

Each finalist is guaranteed a $1,000 prize and the chance of being named 2019 Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize winner with a $50,000 prize!  There are prizes for students too.  We look forward to announcing the winner on 7 May and bringing you a stunning exhibition of contemporary Australian photography.

"Judging the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize allows me to witness Australian life from an Australian perspective. This year's selection process was demanding on many levels, with photographs that moved, amused and provoked whilst sharing many contemporary issues and photographic genres. The final selection is a tribute to both the country and its people but also the quality of photography being made."
Cheryl Newman, 2019 Judge.
