OnTarget Services

Hiring a full-service digital marketing agency may be the best choice for business owners looking to successfully market their company online and here's why:

Consistent Multi-Channel Marketing

A full-service agency that works in the various areas of digital marketing (website design, social media, organic search, online advertising, and reputation management) will create a comprehensive and integrated and cohesive plan across all channels. Your brand image and message will be consistent, making your brand recognizable to consumers as they search online.

Cost Effectiveness

Generally, the cost of hiring an agency is significantly less than hiring internal employees to do the same work. The added cost of salaries, payroll taxes, benefits and office space & equipment can really add up, Plus, you will have more control over your marketing budget because you know exactly what is to be delivered each month and how much you will be paying.

Ability To Focus On Your Core Business

You need to focus on your core business activities. When you hire a digital marketing agency you won't need to concern yourself with managing additional employees or coming up with marketing strategies. You will be able to focus your attention on other areas of your business while knowing a team of skilled professionals is handling your company's online marketing efforts and keeping abreast of the latest trends and technologies.

All The Pieces Are A Part Of The Puzzle

Each of the various channels work together to create a complete marketing strategy. But they can also work against each other if you aren't paying attention. We know that most consumers search for companies to business with online. When a potential customer finds your Google Ad intriguing, do they immediately become disenchanted when they also see that you only have a 3.5 star rating on your company's Google My Business listing? Or if a consumer begins engaging with your social media posts, will they find that your website leaves much to be desired when they click the link in your post?

A marketing agency is an investment, so choose wisely. Find an agency suitable for your company that identifies with your goals and objectives. Look for a company with experience in your industry. When searching for an agency partner, relevancy is more important than the size of the company.

At OnTarget Digital Services, we are a full-service agency leveraging a well-rounded digital marketing mix and a hands-on approach to help your company and your brand achieve success online. Whether you’re looking to develop a comprehensive strategy, revamp your existing plan, or add a few new digital services, OnTarget can help.

Social media ad spend to surpass print for first time

Social media will own 13% of global ad spend in 2019, according to a Zenith forecast.

by Amy Gesenhues

Zenith, a media agency owned by Publicis Media, predicts global social media ad spend will grow 20% this year, reaching $84 billion. According to Zenith’s data, social media advertising will account for 13% of total global ad spend and rank as the third-largest advertising channel, behind TV and paid search.

2019 will be the first year that social media ad spend outperforms print ad spend, says Zenith, with newspaper and magazine ads generating less than $69 billion this year.

Social Media Ads

SMBs and digital brands driving social ad growth. Zenith attributes the growth across social media ad channels to SMBs shifting and adding budgets in order to take advantage of the targeting and localization capabilities offered by platforms like Facebook.

“Small businesses in the U.S. are spending heavily on social media and paid search, and are fueling much of the global growth of these channels,” writes Zenith.

Facebook reported last Friday that it estimates more than 140 million businesses are currently using its family of apps (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp) every month,

“To find new customers, hire employees or engage with their communities.” During the company’s first quarter earnings report call earlier this year, COO Sheryl Sandberg said that Facebook’s top 100 advertisers accounted for less than 20% of the company’s ad revenue. “Our advertiser base is more diverse compared to the same period over last year,” said Sandberg in April, backing up Zenith’s theory that the surge in social media ad spend is a direct result of SMB ad investments. Prep time:    1 HR

Total time:    7 HR 20 MIN
(includes chilling and cooling times)

Servings:     10-12

Ingredients For Crust:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting

1/3 cup finely ground dehydrated unsweetened cranberries

1 tablespoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1 stick (8 tablespoons) very cold butter, cut into cubes

5 tablespoons very cold vodka

2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar

For Filling:

1/4 cup triple sec
1 teaspoon unflavored powdered gelatin
2 1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
1 teaspoon orange zest plus 1/4 cup orange juice
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup very cold heavy cream

For Decorations:
1 large egg white
1/2 cup fresh cranberries
1/2 cup granulated sugar
Orange peel, cut into thin strips, for garnish
Sweetened whipped cream, for serving

1. For the crust: Add the flour, cranberries, sugar and salt to a food processor and pulse to combine. Add the butter, pulsing until you have pea-sized pieces. Mix together the vodka and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of the vodka mixture to the flour mixture and pulse, adding more of the vodka mixture a tablespoon at a time as needed, until the dough comes together when gently pinched (you may not need to add all of it). Dump the dough onto a sheet of plastic wrap, flatten into a disc and wrap tightly. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to overnight.

2. Put the dough on a lightly floured work surface and roll into a 1/4-inch-thick round. Use the rolling pin to help guide the dough into a 9-inch pie plate. Press gently into the corners of the pie plate and crimp the edges decoratively. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

3. Arrange an oven rack in the bottom third of the oven and preheat to 375 degrees F. Prick the bottom of the dough all over with the tines of a fork. Place a piece of parchment on top of the dough and fill with pie weights or baking beans. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove the parchment and pie weights and bake until golden around the edges and light golden in the center, an additional 25 to 30 minutes. Cool completely.

4. For the filling: Add 2 tablespoons triple sec to a small bowl and sprinkle the gelatin over top; set aside.

5. Add the cranberries, orange zest and juice, ginger, 1/2 cup sugar and remaining 2 tablespoons triple sec to a small saucepan and place over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and continue to cook until the cranberries begin to pop and break down, about 10 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the gelatin mixture until completely dissolved and combined. Transfer the mixture to a blender and let cool slightly, then puree until very smooth. Pour into a large bowl and set aside to cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally.

6. When the mixture has cooled, add the heavy cream to a stand mixture fitted with a whisk attachment. Beat on high, streaming in the remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar slowly, until the mixture reaches stiff peaks. Stir one-third of the whipped cream into the cranberry mixture to lighten it. Then fold the cranberry mixture into the remaining whipped cream until no streaks remain. Add the filling to the pie crust. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours and up to overnight.

7. For the decorations: Before serving, beat the egg white together with 1 tablespoon water. Toss the cranberries in the egg white mixture, then drain completely using a wide-mesh strainer. Put the sugar in a medium bowl, add the cranberries and toss to coat completely. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet to dry.

8. Pile whipped cream in the center of the pie, top with the cranberries and sprinkle with the orange peel strips.
