Brentwood 2025 “Where Everyone Matters” 

Brentwood Borough Council has launched its new Corporate Strategy for 2020-2025 centred around growing the economy, protecting our environment, developing communities, improving housing and delivering an efficient and effective council. Brentwood 2025 “Where Everyone Matters” is a new document approved by Ordinary Council on Wednesday 22 January.

Brentwood Borough Council will be sponsoring the February Brentwood Chamber of Commerce business breakfast on Friday 14 February. Our new Chief Executive will be sharing our new corporate strategy for 2020-2025 and encouraging business feedback on our priorities for growing the local economy.

The BEST Growth Hub Show is a unique free event to give SMEs in Essex an opportunity to find out about the diverse business support services that are on offer. Around 40 referral partners will be exhibiting, including grant providers, local authorities, colleges and universities. Come visit the Brentwood Borough Council stand at the event to find out more about our new 5-year Corporate Strategy, Brentwood Development Partnership plans and our upcoming workshops.

The Brexit Roundtable - A Forward Look to Growing the Essex Economy

Venue: The Costa Roastery, Christopher Martin Rd, Basildon SS14 3TR

Hosted by Basildon Borough Council, IoD Essex and BEST Growth Hub, this FREE event at Costa's Roastery in Basildon will be an opportunity to hear from guest speakers and open up a discussion for businesses in Essex on:
  • What are the opportunities? 
  • How can businesses in Essex work more collaboratively? 
  • What support does your business need? 
  • Is there anything you would like to feed back to the Cabinet office? 
The event will feature keynote speaker, Vicky Pryce, as well as representatives from the Cabinet Office to provide a government update. 

Breakfast will be provided and there is parking available on site. 
   
   

Lower Thames Crossing 

Supplementary Consultation 2020

   
The next phase of public consultation on the Lower Thames Crossing has been announced.  The eight-week consultation started on Wednesday 29 January and will end on Wednesday 25 March 2020.  The further consultation will give people the opportunity to look at, and comment on, the changes that have been made to the project's design.

The changes that are being consulted on will be set out in the Guide to Supplementary Consultation, which is available online and in hard copy at events, deposit locations and information points, including Brentwood Library. Responses can be provided using a paper response form, letter, email or using the online response form. 8 public information events and 12 locations visits with their mobile information centre will also be held.
