Happy New Year 2020!

As we wish 2019 a fond farewell, we take the time to remember the wonderful new things the past year has brought us: new staff, new supporters, new rescues and new plans for the future!

We welcomed new part-time staff members Sabrina Villaescusa and Nick Sung, who work the ranch 2 days each during the week.  Full-time ranch hand Michael Stewart joined the team as well, working hands-on on the ranch 5 days a week! Michael's nephew Aiden has even joined the volunteer team, following his uncle's schedule.

There were promotions as well, as Adalberto Villaescusa became Director of Operations and Amanda Palko moved into a full-time office management position.

We have gained many new enthusiastic volunteers and have gratefully kept our dedicated core of experienced

volunteers and staff!

New rescues El Guapo and Bear arrived at Jumpin' Jack ranch in the latter half of 2019 and have settled in and been integrated with their respective herds. They are content and living their best lives possible at Equine Voices!

And a new baby was mustang was born in July 2019, to momma Mago and her name is Milagro, which means "miracle" in Spanish!

A momentous birthday milestone was celebrated, as oldest Sanctuary resident Chip turned 44 years young!

Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to some members of the herd.  Former PMU mare Chance, who arrived at Equine Voices in 2005 with her best friend, Sunshine, fell ill in late June and crossed the Rainbow Bridge peacefully, surrounded by

her 4-legged and 2-legged friends.

Sunshine remains here at Equine Voices and is doing well.

Shiloh, a member of the rescued Devil's Garden herd from California, who arrived with her herd in late December 2018, became ill in early June and also crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

But not all goodbyes were sad as Mazie & Mimi, mother and daughter burros, found a loving forever home with Stuart Rodes of Rio Rico.  They laze the days away with new friends Sadie the donkey and Lucy the mule! Thank you, Stuart!

We thank every one of you, our staff, volunteers, board members, donors and those who have supported us throughout 2019 and into this new year and new decade! As you may remember from our Fall Fundraiser, exciting new plans are in process for the new property Equine Voices has acquired and our

Expansion Plans will be underway soon!

Keep following this very Newsletter, our www.equinevoices.org website and our

Happy New Year and Thank You for

Your Continued Support!
