Dear Guest

2020 has kicked off in full swing here at ENC. Firstly, we have been successful in securing funding from MBIE for a new role to stimulate the North Canterbury food and beverage sector.  We are also in the process of applying to the Lottery Significant Projects Fund for a one-off investment towards the off-road cycle trail from central Christchurch to Waipara. This trail is predicted to return around $12.8m into our economy year on year and will benefit the residents, community and businesses socially, recreationally and financially.

Of course, as businesses – particularly in tourism and exporting – we are all very aware of the current Coronavirus crisis that continues to unfold across the globe. We are keeping up to date with information on this situation and will be sure to provide information to businesses as it comes to hand.

Kind regards,

Heather Warwick, CEO

ENC Sponsor Profile

Hellers is a long-time valued sponsor of Enterprise North Canterbury, and has been supporting the wider North Canterbury community for many, many years. Hellers supplies New Zealand and Australian consumers with a wide range of smallgoods, produced at their Kaiapoi factory, and are well known as a key employer and contributor to the local community.

For some it's the location, for others, the ease of doing business, the sense of community or the amazing work/life balance. Whatever the reason, hundreds of business owners have chosen to set up and operate their businesses in the Waimakariri District. Each month we sit down with a local business owner to find out Why Waimakariri?

Why Waimakariri: ONE AGENCY

Having worked in real estate for years, Barry Rolton and Nicole Weber know a growth area when they see one. So it’s no surprise that the owners of real estate company ONE AGENCY Waimakariri chose to move their business operation into central Kaiapoi.
