Dear Guest

Times remain very uncertain for our local business community with the recent changes to Alert Levels but we are happy to see the most recent announcements from the Government around the resurgence wage subsidy, mortgage deferral scheme extension and extension to the leave support scheme.

A reminder that help is also available at a local level. The Regional Business Partner Network Fund is still on offer for eligible businesses, distributed in North Canterbury through ENC. Find out more on our website. With the help of the Ministry of Social Development we have also put together a list of resources for those seeking employment or looking for staff. And the Covid-19 Business Support Helpline is still in operation on 0800 50 50 96. We encourage businesses to seek help if they need it, either directly from Government agencies or through ENC.

Ron van Til has recently completed his tenure as Board Trustee after nine years. Ron has given a lot of time and energy to his role over the years and ENC is very grateful for his valuable contribution. And Andrew Gilchrist recently completed his one year position as the inaugural Intern Trustee. Following the success of the inaugural position, the Board is now seeking to appoint a new Intern Trustee. Applications close September 15th.

Kind regards,

Heather Warwick, CEO
