Dear
This month the ENC Board will farewell our long-serving Chairman, Nick Harris. Nick has been on the ENC Board for a decade and in that time has made a significant contribution to the development of our organisation through his support, nous and entrepreneurial flair. Nick, we would like to thank you for all that you have done during your time on the ENC Board and wish you all the very best for your future endeavours.
In other ENC news, Visit Waimakariri attended TRENZ this month for the first time ever, with very positive results. Well done to Elizabeth, Janine and Gwen from Visit Waimakariri and the Kaiapoi i-SITE for pulling it all together and showing off our region to the world. And finally, despite mixed results in the latest Business Opinion Survey, North Canterbury businesses continue to forge ahead with new operations, investments and milestones. Read on for more on what the local business community has been up to.
Kind regards, Heather Warwick, CEO

- Our very own Elizabeth Pitcorn of Visit Waimakariri and Gwen Creek from the Kaiapoi i-SITE Visitor Information Centre attended New Zealand's largest international tourism showcase, TRENZ, last week in Rotorua. They met with a large number of tourist and visitor agencies from around the world and reported a high level of interest in the Waimakariri District. Great work, team!
