Dear
It was encouraging to read the latest Infometrics Quarterly Economic Monitor, released last week, which shows a huge amount of confidence in and support of the Waimakariri economy. The notable increases in the likes of building consents, visitor spend and GDP are no surprise when you see the level of construction going on in the district as well as the success of our own Visit Waimakariri's first visit to TRENZ.
Despite winter setting in, new businesses continue to open and awards are being won all round, showing the quality and tenacity of our local business community. We're also seeing businesses taking the opportunity to upskill their team in the quieter months, with a great uptake of attendees at our business courses and workshops. In fact, our preeminent course - Accelerator Business Growth Series - is back for another round, giving you the chance to grow your business and increase profit, with support from BDO professionals. This course is exclusive to ENC and comes highly recommended from past attendees.
Kind regards, Heather Warwick, CEO
