- A series of workshops are being held throughout the country aimed at transforming the Sheep and Goat Dairy industry. The Sheep and Goat Dairy Project is a government funded, not-for-profit initiative dedicated to growing New Zealand's sheep and goat milk industry. The first workshop is being held in Canterbury at Lincoln University on Tuesday, April 16 from 9am-12pm. Industry stakeholders including iwi, farmers, processers and marketers are invited to attend. - The Waimakariri District Plan is under review and the Waimakariri District Council is seeking feedback from interested parties. A consultation summary document ‘What’s the Plan?’ is currently available from all Council service centres and libraries and at waimakariri.govt.nz/letstalk. A series of informal drop-ins are being held for those interested in speaking directly with a staff member involved with the District Plan Review. All drop-in sessions are held from 5pm-7pm:
