Choosing to Heal
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. And it couldn't come at a better time. Since the pandemic, anxiety and depression is the common theme of most who come in for healing, seeking clarity and solace. The Blessing is, I've seen many Re-create their lives by taking this time to reflect and heal what isn't working, choosing themselves for the first time.
The thing is, you must Love yourself enough to want to heal. Healing takes work, vulnerability, focus, time. Facing your past, old emotions, experiences- facing them enough to come to peace and let them go. Often forgiving yourself and others for the past, and the pain you've experienced. Healing is a journey within your own heart. To go deeper, in order to shift unhealthy patterns and feel greater Love. Yes, it can hurt. There’s often anger, exhaustion, grief, but after you move through it, the result is Freedom. The freedom to love, to express your true self, to feel greater joy and peace. To Create the life you want, without the baggage.
